Madison is a quaint beach town in New Haven County.  Known for its beaches, top rated schools and its picturesque downtown shopping filled with boutique stores including the world famous RJ Julia Bookstore.  Madison’s town population is around 18,000 spread out over approximately 6500 households.

Perhaps its largest tourist attraction is Hammonasset State Park.  Hammonasset State Park boasts the state’s longest public beach, areas to camp, and access to the Greenway Trail.

Madison has several other main beaches including the Surf Club, East Wharf and West Wharf.  There is also the Madison Beach Club which has its own beach for members.

The Madison Country Club is an 18 hole golf course located a short walk from the beach which makes it a great spot for golf enthusiasts.

Conveniently located almost at the midpoint between New York City and Boston, Madison has several transportation options for commuters and travelers alike.  Shoreline East and Amtrak are commuting options as well as I95.

Home to both annual residents and summer only residents, Madison is truly a gem on the Shoreline.
